Everyone was too busy to accompany me

“Who doesn’t want to go to Char Dham Yatra at this age?” I insisted.

“But mom I have loads of work to do here. I can’t even sleep well. I can’t go along you. Please wait till next year,” Abhi replied.

I cut the call. I was not happy. I was listening to the same for the last 3 years. Being 65 years old, this was my only desire that I wanted to fulfill. But nothing seemed to be working out. Next day, I called my daughter, “Hi beta, Can you go along me on Char Dham Yatra?”

“Sorry mom, I am very busy with my kids. I don’t think it would be possible for me to go with you. Moreover, you are not fit enough to travel. You should take rest at home,” Ritu replied to my question, exactly the way I predicted it.

Being helpless, I could do nothing. I was sitting on the balcony when Ayush appeared. He is the 9 years old son of my neighbors. I liked playing with him after his school. He asked me, “Aunty, why are you sad”?

I said nothing but asked, “Will you go with me on a trip?”

“I will. But I have to go to school,”  said the innocent looking boy. “But, you don’t need me, you can hire a guide. I watched people on TV. They talk to a guide and the guide helps and accompanies them on the trip.

So, I decided to go on my own

I felt a bit hopeful. So I surfed the internet and found a guide for Char Dham. I packed my luggage and stepped out for the journey. He took me to various sightseeing adventures. He suggested me staying at the hotels nearby airport. Last week, I came back home from my yatra. Since I came back from my Yatra back to home, I felt very cheerful and satisfied. I am happy now. Now, last of my desires is fulfilled and I am happy to live with this satisfaction.
